Axis Pharmacy Northwest is a locally owned, independent pharmacy serving patients and care providers across King and Snohomish Counties. Our pharmacy provides Long-Term Care pharmacy services, retail prescriptions, and non-sterile compounding, with a strong focus on personalized care, medication management, and support for Adult Family Homes.

We are seeking a Part-Time / Fill-In Pharmacist to join our team. This role is ideal for pharmacists looking for flexible hours, including coverage for vacations, sick leave, and schedule gaps.

This position works closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and pharmacy team to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide clinical oversight and ensure safe dispensing practices
Counsel patients and caregivers on medications, dosing, and therapy management
Support pharmacy staff including technicians and assistants
Ensure compliance with Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAC) regulations
Participate in pharmacy workflow including retail and long-term care dispensing
Assist with pharmacy operations including inventory oversight and controlled substance procedures as needed
Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy management systems

Requirements

Qualifications:
Active Washington State Pharmacist License in good standing
PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Strong communication and patient counseling skills
Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

Preferred but not Required:
Experience with Long-Term Care pharmacy
Experience with pharmacy compounding
Experience with retail pharmacy
