The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is accountable for overseeing and directing all pharmacy operations at the designated location, ensuring that the pharmacy's objectives are consistently and successfully met. The PIC formulates strategies for future business growth, leads the pharmacy's management team, and guarantees the financial stability of the pharmacy.
Job Type: Exempt, Full-Time, 40 hour per week, Mon - Fri with on-call rotations.
Location: In-Pharmacy at our Cedar Rapids office location.
Requirements
B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or Registered Pharmacist license if foreign graduate
Active registered pharmacy license in the state of Florida and additional states as required
without restrictions
Minimum 5 years recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Two years of recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Thorough knowledge of infusion therapies preferred
Recent inventory management experience preferred
Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmacokinetic dosing preferred
Knowledge of CPR+ software preferred

Requirements
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
Provide 24-hour direction for pharmacy services and employees at assigned location
Ensure adequate staffing at the assigned location to maintain scheduled hours of operation
Perform duties of pharmacy personnel when required
Direct oversight and performance of dispensing of all pharmaceutical products, ancillary supplies, and equipment
Ensure compliance with all PROMPTCARE policies and procedures, state and federal regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Assist in development, review and revision of policies and procedures
Participation in the PROMPTCARE Quality Improvement (QI) Program including QI project management and occurrence reporting and review
Participation in on-site inspections, survey readiness and accreditation processes
Participation in setting goals and objectives for pharmacy services to support PROMPTCARE company goals and objectives
Assist in the development and maintenance of department budget for pharmacy operations, personnel and equipment
Ensure all patients are appropriately assigned to care teams and receive appropriate clinical monitoring per PROMPTCARE policy and procedure
Responsible for the daily oversight of inventory control and purchasing including scheduled/routine inventory management processes
Direct oversight of orientation and training of pharmacy employees upon hire and evaluation of competency at completion of orientation and annually
Assist in ongoing pharmacy personnel development
Assist in marketing of PROMPTCARE products and services as required
Assist in obtaining/completing billing information and documentation as required
Conduct in-services as required
Maintains inter-departmental communication and collaboration
Assumes on-call responsibilities in rotation
Monthly pharmacy reporting includes but not limited to drug expiration, medication adherence, factor variance, inventory, environmental controls, medication and supply errors
Prescription Monitoring Program
Other duties as assigned
