Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient | 4x10s | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for an inpatient hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is confident in both clinical and operational responsibilities and enjoys working in a collaborative, smaller hospital environment.

Job Overview

• Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness
• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with pharmacy standards
• Provide clinical guidance and drug information to healthcare staff
• Monitor patient therapies and ensure optimal medication outcomes
• Support pharmacy operations including workflow, inventory, and compliance
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accuracy of medication preparation
• Maintain adherence to regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Participate in performance improvement and clinical initiatives
• Assist in pharmacokinetic dosing and patient-specific medication adjustments

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in smaller or critical access hospitals
• Strong clinical and operational skill set
• Experience with IV compounding and aseptic technique
• Previous travel experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced but lower-resourced setting
