Jasper Drugs, Whitwell Pharmacy, and Cates Street Pharmacy [Dunlap] are all local, family-owned pharmacies associated with Access Family Pharmacy in Hixson, TN. In true independent fashion, we pride ourselves on putting the patient first and fostering a culture built on teamwork. Our metrics consist of happy, healthy patients, and that’s all. We don’t require pharmacists to give a certain number of flu shots or hit a certain number of anything. Our pharmacists have the freedom to get out from behind the counter and spend time with patients and the autonomy in pharmacy operations, such as ordering of drugs, to do what is best for the patient and makes the most sense for workflow. Ownership is heavily involved in day-to-day operations and is often in the pharmacy answering phones and running scripts alongside the rest of the team. We strive to staff our stores appropriately, bordering on overstaffed, so that our people aren’t stretched too thin and the patients aren’t having to wait longer than absolutely necessary. 

Our stores operate between 9am and 7pm EST Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm EST Saturday. All of our stores are closed on Sunday. We’re closed for 6 holidays each year [with holiday pay for full-timers]: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

This position requires an active pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Tennessee. The starting pay is $58 - $65 per hour [$120,000 - $135,000 annual], and is open to change based on experience.

This position will require:

• Active TN pharmacist license in good standing
• Willingness to travel between Jasper, Whitwell, and Dunlap
• Genuine desire to connect with patients and prioritize their health and wellbeing

• Confidence in your ability to do the job, and awareness of when to call for help

While Access Pharmacy has multiple pharmacists on each shift, the smaller stores have only one. Therefore, this position will require a pharmacist who has problem solving skills and is comfortable working with a store manager to oversee technicians and daily workflow. While there is one pharmacist on site at the smaller stores, the whole team is always behind them! They can call anytime to ask a question, get a second opinion, etc.
