About University Pharmacy & the Opportunity
University Pharmacy is a locally owned and operated community and specialized compounding pharmacy—not a national chain—that has served the Salt Lake City community since 1954. We take pride in providing personalized patient care while maintaining a professional, collaborative workplace.
We're looking for a pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in a flexible part-time position with day, evening, and weekend hours available. You'll work alongside other pharmacists, giving you the opportunity to collaborate, consult with colleagues, and have an additional check when needed to help ensure accuracy and quality.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with healthcare providers and patients, use your professional knowledge and judgment, and play an important role in developing individualized medication solutions.
What You'll Do
- Dispense medications according to prescriptions and applicable regulatory standards
- Prepare and dispense compounded and customized medications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on individualized treatment plans
- Counsel patients and answer questions about their medications
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, compounding techniques, and regulatory requirements
- Follow established safety, quality assurance, and compliance procedures
- Work effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to support daily operations
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Active Utah pharmacist license
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulations, and quality assurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing accurate, high-quality pharmacy services
- Compounding knowledge preferred, but not required—we'll train the right candidate
