Description

As a Compounding Pharmacist at Mixlab, you’ll play a hands on role in creating high quality, customized medications for our veterinary patients from start to finish. You’ll compound a variety of non-sterile preparations, including capsules, tablets, oral liquids, and topical medications, while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with USP <795> and Texas pharmacy regulations. You’ll also collaborate across teams, counsel clients as needed, and help support an exceptional experience for our veterinary partners and pet parents.

• Compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including but not limited to the compounding of capsules, tablets, oral liquids and topical medications.
• Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications - in other words, full-service compounding from chemicals to packaging.
• Counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions.
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with USP 795, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance on product features, participating in sales activities such as calling or visiting veterinary clinics.
• Perform Care Pharmacist duties on an as needed basis

Requirements

• You are a licensed pharmacist in TX, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
• You have formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience
• You have 2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding, with preference given to veterinary compounding experience
• Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
• You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment
