We work closely with physicians to solve problems for hard to source and hard to compound pharmaceuticals. Schedule: 1st, 4-10 Hour Shifts Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Holidays, 3 weeks PTO Monthly Incentive Opportunities! We are hiring a Staff Pharmacist for our growing team! Hours vary. The pharmacist will be primarily responsible for dispensing medications. This position is not tasked with directly compounding medications. All tasks and duties must be completed in accordance and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies and procedures. Pharmacist Key Responsibilities: Dispense prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals for patient care; this position is not tasked with directly compounding medications Review prescriptions issued by physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed Direct pharmacy technicians engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost Assay medications to determine identity, purity and strength Instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy Pharmacist Experience and Educations Requirements: Requires a Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred but not required Management experience preferred Minimum of 1 year sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience preferred Requires a Kentucky Pharmacist License Licensure in additional states is preferred, but not required Other Qualifications to be Considered: Strong emotional maturity and intelligence Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail Expert level of written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem solving with strong decision-making capability Highly versatile and resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion Be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response Demonstrate ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Forward looking thinker, actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions ADA Disclaimer: In developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
